Best Dressed 2011

So as the year draws to a close I think it is appropriate that we visit some of my favourite fashion moments and best dresses for the year!

This was my absolute favourite outfit from the Duchess of Cambridge!  I think she looks beautiful! The dress is from Jenny Packham, and her hair is to die for!  So PERFECT!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Gucci, one word HOT!

So she gets mentioned twice! I love Gwyneth's Salvatore Ferragarmo Houndstooth coat and although it has already be featured on a post, I adore this fabulous green Elie Saab dress, I think it was my favorite red carpet dress all year!

So it wouldn’t be that hard to look good if you are heiress to the Mission fashion house like Margerita Missioni but since I have been a bit obsessed by all things Missoni this year and went mad getting my hands on the range for target over US ebay it is appropriate that I add her to my list!

Bianca Brandolini Italian heiress and socialite at the Venice Film Festival in Giambattista Valli, leopard print and feathers does it get any better? LOVE LOVE LOVE.

The ultimate in French Chic Ines De La  Fressange on the runway for Chanel and although this was in October 2010 it was for the Chanel Fall 2011 collection so we can count it as 2011.

Prada Necklaces

The days of wearing a small chain necklace have long gone. Now it's all about big statement necklaces and not just in the evening either. Today I was doing some Christmas shopping and wandered into Prada which have just released a new dazzling jewellery collection. The collection features large coloured gems stones and shiny resin roses... LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Henry's Christmas Present

This is my Christmas present for my nephew Henry who is 18 months old and lives by the beach at Avalon. The print is from Hervé Morvan (1917–1980) a great French poster artist and designer.

He created ranges of advertising posters for food and drink in particular perrier, household products, fashion, travel and exhibitions, alcohol, film and music, and greeting cards. This one is for "Jeunesse Au Plein Air" to help raise funds in support of youth outdoor leisure centres in France. Morvan's posters often featured lovely characters in happy and joyful  settings, have a look below at some examples.

Weihnachtsschmuck

Weihnachtsschmuck is German for Christmas decorations.  I want to share with you my collection. I am hoping it will grow over the coming years!

Christmas Bambi

Bambi is the star of my table centrepiece this Christmas! I got the table/candle piece from bed bath and table, and filled it with artificial grass from bunnings. The little Bambi and her friends are schleich figures made in Germany but you can get them from toy shops here, and the mushrooms are actually small candles. As much as I would like to claim credit for this idea, it was actually my wonderfully creative sister-in-law Sandra who originally made this decoration...I just copied her!

Super Stila

My Stila lip glosses arrived today! These glosses are currently retailing at Mecca Cosmetica for $67...but I found them online for on $27!!!! If you hadn't guessed by now I just love online shopping!

Stila has been one of my favourite make-up brands now for over 10 years. I am a sucker for their cute girly packaging. You can get your hands on stila at asos.com but the best deals by far are found on beautybay.com. There is another great site beautybar.com and of couse strawberrynet.com.

Below are the crush lip and cheek stain, convertible colour and waterproof liquid eyeliner...the secret is out!!!!!!
